New acting deputy foreign minister appointed in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Aug. 12

Muzaffar Kamoliddinov, appointed to the post of acting deputy minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan, was represented to the Board of the foreign ministry Aug.11, the message of the foreign ministry of Uzbekistan said.

Prior to this appointment, Kamoliddinov worked in the structure of the National Holding Company “Uzbekneftegaz”.

In July 2015, personnel changes were made in the leadership of the foreign ministry by the decision of President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

Javlon Vakhabov was appointed first deputy minister, who worked as deputy foreign minister since November 2013. Vakhabov replaced Alisher Kurmanov, who was appointed ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom.

Saidikram Niyazhojaev and Gayrat Fazilov, who served until this appointment as deputy minister of economy and an advisor of the embassy of Uzbekistan in Belgium, respectively, were appointed deputy ministers.
